The Teaching Clock Tower Project![]()
Photos[an error occurred while processing this directive]BackgroundThere is an empty clock tower on the north-west side of Weil Hall. Four clocks are painted on the four little windows at the top of the tower, representing the four real clocks that will eventually be placed in it. Frank Hartman, former TBP president, was hired to put the real clocks in it and has asked Tau Beta Pi, Florida Alpha, to participate in the process. The payment he will receive for their construction will be donated to Tau Beta Pi. The Civil Engineering Honor Society (Chi Epsilon) website has more details on the clock, its conception, and its purpose: The Teaching Clock Tower Project We will not be the only Wandering Hour Dial in the world, however! A group in London (www.newgatestreetclock.com) has installed one of its own. How to Get InvolvedIf you are interested in participating, contact the project lead, Mark Oden. The participants who see this project through will have their names engraved in a plaque near the tower. So far doneSpring 2007:Wandering Hour Dial
